I’m really excited to write this review and don’t even know where to start.

In May 2021, my least in my apartment was ending. I had told myself when moving there that it would be my last apartment. When March came around, I begin looking into how I could purchase a house. My credit score was about a 680, but I had some student loan issues that was preventing me from moving forward. I also didn’t have a lot of money saved (but had money coming in.) I begin getting discouraged and started looking at apartments. My mom told me to reach out to our cousin in Atlanta who was a real estate agent (I had no idea.) I contacted Siray on a Sunday night. She responded right away. She asked me abt my situation/finances and reassured me that she could get me into a home by the time my lease was up. By the end of the week, for the first time, I had 3 houses to look at and I was actually making tangible steps. Before we went to the homes, Siray mentioned a company called Divvy to me. I was in the process of working with the student loan folks to get that taken care of. Siray told me that could take time and homes (especially in 2021) were moving fast! She told me that Divvy could purchase the house for me with cash, and they give me 3 years to buy it back from them. I admit, I was skeptical at first. I wanted to buy my first home on my own, I was proud and didn’t want to have to go through any layers to buy. So, even when we went to look at homes, I was set on not using Divvy. I was going to take my chances with waiting on the process.
Siray and I went to the first of 3 homes on our list. It was a Saturday, just 6 days after I reached out to Siray. The first house was a 3 story townhouse. 3 rooms, 3.5, BEAUTIFUL. The house was exactly what I pictured in my head. I instantly fell in love. There was nothing on the market like this house and for the price. I didn’t even want to go look elsewhere. I had prayed to God to make my house hunting EASY and reveal MY house to me. I felt this was it. Siray told me that if I wanted that house, I had to be ready FAST. She mentioned Divvy again. Having already done my research on Divvy, I told her that I’d trust her and try it out. So we did. She made a call to the listing agent and sure enough he told her that there were 16 offers already. Siray stayed on the phone for 45 mins convincing the owner why he should sell to me, a single, young woman, entrepreneur who was a creative just like him lol. I was impressed. We ended up going through the process with Divvy and put an offer in. I knew I had one thing in my favor, Divvy would be a cash offer. I prayed and wrote down that this would be my new address. A few days later Siray called and told me that they chose ME! They accepted my offer and now we just had to wait for closing. With Divvy, you go through the same process as if you were buying independently. We got inspections, appraisals, etc. the process was very simple. Siray took care of everything so really all I did was make payments and read/sign docs. She followed up and was responsive every step of the way. Once I closed on May 25, I moved in the next day. I paid rent to Divvy, which seemed expensive at first, but $300 of that every month was going into a savings account for when I was ready to purchase. I also had to have earnest money before closing for Divvy to let them know I was serious. So, once I was ready to purchase about 1 year later, I had $6k from Divvy to go toward my down payment and closing costs. Getting my mortgage was such a breeze because I was already living in the house. I didn’t have to get more inspections or worry about my offer being accepted or someone buying it over me. It allowed me to walk into homeownership without the panic. I could take my time. Divvy made it really easy when it was time to buy my house back from them. I did have to pay them a little more than what we closed on in May 2021, but that’s okay because I have abt $43k in equity, already. So, while I was here renting from Divvy, I was still benefiting and able to capitalize. So, even with the extra money given to Divvy, I came out on top. Equity, plus my dream first home. This process was so easy! I heard so many horror stories about purchasing and I’m happy that Siray helped me see the benefits of Divvy. Siray changed my life. I’d recommend Divvy to anyone serious abt moving into homeownership. If you’re not ready at this moment, it gives you the opportunity to choose your home and continue to prep for ownership. They give you 3 years to buyback but I’d suggest doing it at least within a year. I am so happy to have worked with Siray and she will be helping me find my next home!
